Biography

Vanni Volpi is Chief Intellectual Property Officer of GUCCI. Based in Milan, Italy, Mr. Volpi directs worldwide the Company strategy and policies and coordinates all Intellectual Property aspects. He provides legal counsel and oversee over all facets of protecting, monetizing, licensing and enforcing IP assets and law policy issues. Mr. Volpi is responsible for the management and coordination of IP portfolios as well as infringements, brand enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, litigations, lobbying and protecting and licensing all intellectual property rights on-line and off-line (patents, copyrights, trademarks, domain names, know-how and technology). Mr. Volpi oversee and directs the international in-house IP Team of Gucci. Mr. Volpi is former board member of INTA and is member of various international IP associations and brand protection groups like ECTA, MARQUES, UDF, COMITE COLBERT, INDICAM, ALTAGAMMA, QBPC, IACC, ICG, WCO, ICANN, BRG). He has spoken widely around Europe, US, Middle East, China and rest Asia on intellectual property topics and has held previously various leadership IP positions and worked for CHANEL and LVMH based in Paris.
