Biography

Seung Hyo (Sam) Baek is a senior foreign attorney in the Corporate Group of Lee & Ko. His practice focuses on mergers & acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures (JV), corporate governance, outbound investments, foreign investments and general corporate matters. Honored as one of the Finalists for the Foreign Lawyer of the Year award by ALB Korea Law Awards 2019, Sam has advised on some of the most complex and high-profile transactions in the Korean market. Sam’s practice frequently includes inbound and outbound deals in a broad range of industries, where he provides his clients with sophisticated, solutions-oriented advice. His experience has included representation of CBC Group consortium in its acquisition of shares in Hugel, Epiroc in its acquisition of shares in D&A Heavy Industries, Tilting Point Media in its acquisition of shares in AN Games and JTBC Studio’s capital increase by investment of Praxis Capital Partners and Tencent Holdings.
