Annemiek Wilpshaar

Biography

Annemiek Wilpshaar is Head of Unit at the European Commission, managing merger cases in the IT, Telecom and Media sectors at DG COMP. Previously, Annemiek was a member of the Chief Economist Team in DG Competition dealing with cases across a wide range of sectors. She also served a year as Cabinet Member of Vice President Almunia. Annemiek holds a MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a MSc in Competition and Market Regulation from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.
