Adriana Menezes Dantas

Biography

Adriana Dantas is the head partner for Compliance and Investigations & International Trade Practices. She is a seasoned professional with multijurisdictional experience in Compliance, Internal Investigations (with focus on investigations — multijurisdictional), International Trade and Sanctioning Administrative Law. She currently chairs the Sanctions Committee of the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), an international administrative court that decides, in second instance, cases involving corruption, fraud and/or cartel in projects financed by the Bank in Latin America. She is the first Brazilian and woman to hold the position. She advises national and multinational clients on matters including administrative defenses, negotiation of leniency agreements, conducting internal investigations, crisis management and design, implementation and monitoring of integrity or compliance programs. Was a member founder of the Integrity Committee of the Board of Directors of Petrobras S.A. between 2019 and 2022. She worked as a lawyer in London, Geneva and Washington – DC for 10 years. Currently she is the Co-Chair of the Anti-corruption Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA).
