Biography

Martha is widely regarded as a national leader on Canadian trade policy, Martha advises at the intersection of international trade, regulatory law, and strategic global investment, helping clients navigate legal risk in an increasingly complex and geopolitically driven global economy. Martha has recently been awarded as one of Canada’s Top 35 Most Influential Lawyers of 2026 by CanadaLawyer Magazine, and 2026 Canadian Lawyer Female Trailblazer of the Year. Martha’s international trade leadership is reinforced by her academic and public service credentials. She is a former adjunct professor of international arbitration at Queen’s University and a former MBA sessional instructor at the DeGroote School of Business. She was also selected by the Government of Canada to serve on the roster of arbitrators under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement.
