Biography

Isibor is a distinguished professional with a deep commitment to both the legal field and the well-being of society. He is an esteemed member of the International Bar Association (IBA), where he has played a pivotal role in advancing mental well-being initiatives for Africa as part of the IBA Presidential Taskforce. He currently serves as a commissioner on the IBA Professional Wellbeing Commission. A Climate Reality Leader trained by former US Vice President Al Gore, Isibor is passionate about sustainability and environmental consciousness. Isibor remains deeply engaged in advancing global conversations on climate change and sustainable development. He proudly serves as the incoming Chair of the International Refugee Law Committee within the American Bar Association’s International Law Section, having previously completed two terms as Vice Chair. He has also been appointed as Vice Chair for Social Media on the United Nations and International Organisations Committee and Vice Chair for the Year in Review for the Food, Agriculture, and Cannabis Committee, both roles commencing on August 1, 2025, and concluding on July 31, 2026. In these capacities, he contributes meaningfully to the development of international law and policies supporting refugees, displaced persons, and global governance efforts. Currently, Isibor works with the Central Bank of Nigeria as a Legal Officer, where his legal expertise is put to meaningful use. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he envisions creating a hub for youth development agencies, religious groups, and civil society to collaborate. His belief is rooted in the idea that giving back to society and raising awareness about mental health are essential priorities, as they contribute to a stronger and more resilient judicial system. In conclusion, Isibor is a remarkable individual who seeks opportunities to bridge the gap between the legal profession and societal well-being. His dedication to pro bono legal services for the most vulnerable members of society underscores his commitment to justice and equity. Isibor firmly believes that a society with healthy lawyers is better equipped to build a robust judicial architecture.
