Biography

Grace Agcaoili is UNICEF's specialist on Justice for Children and legal reform. She represents UNICEF in global platforms on access to justice and rule of law. She steers UNICEF’s global thought leadership on access to justice for children. Grace previously worked as Chief of Child Protection and manager of multisectoral development programmes in UNICEF Colombia, Regional Child Protection and Human Rights Specialist and ASEAN liaison at the UNICEF Regional Office for East Asia and the Pacific, and as Chief of Social Policy in UNICEF Philippines. She joined UNICEF Philippines in 2000 as Child Protection Officer and also worked on local governance, gender, emergencies, social protection and as area coordinator. Grace completed her PhD in Human Rights and Peace from Mahidol University (Thailand), Juris Doctor from Ateneo de Manila Law School (Philippines), master’s in international cooperation for development from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain), and BS Legal Management and AB Hispanic Studies from Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines). She is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
