I am a Counsel responsible for the Public Law, Regulatory, AML, Anti-Corruption, and Constitutional area at Basham, Ringe y Correa, and have been recognized by Thomson Reuters as a Stand-out Lawyer in 2025 and 2026, as well as receiving the Pro Bono Award in 2024. I am the Coordinator of the Anti-Corruption and AML Committee of ANADE and also represented the Mexican legal sector during the 2026 Mutual Evaluation of Mexico conducted by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF/GAFI), participating in discussions on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing standards. My academic background includes a law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a Master’s Degree in Constitutional Law and Human Rights from Universidad Panamericana, and a Specialization in Constitutional Law from the University of Salamanca. During fifteen years at the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, including seven years as a Clerk, I worked on amparo proceedings, actions of unconstitutionality, and constitutional controversies involving regulatory matters, administrative procedures, AML, consumer protection, water rights, and discrimination, among others. I also worked at the Federal Judiciary Council, analyzing administrative responsibility proceedings involving Federal Judges and preparing reports for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. Additionally, I advised the Federal Congress on constitutional reforms related to education, labor, energy, AML, anti-corruption, and financial matters. I coordinated the first Manual for Judging with a Gender Perspective in Administrative Matters, published by the Supreme Court in 2022, and authored the chapter titled "The Wage Gap" in the Manual for Judging with a Gender Perspective in Labor Matters, published in 2021. Co-author of the chapter "Anti-Corruption and Anti-Money Laundering" in the Manual on Corporate Obligations 2025, published by ANADE Bar Association. Co-author of the book "Weaving the Prevention Network in Mexico: Money Laundering and its Effects", published by Tirant lo Blanch in collaboration with the World Compliance Association.
