Biography

Franco is a Partner in DWF's Global Risks Team specialising in energy and marine insurance as well as commercial disputes. Franco's energy practice spans the energy transition. His energy coverage experience includes offshore and onshore renewables, natural resources and power generation, across both construction and operational phases. In marine insurance, Franco has led a number of sensitive crew and asset detention matters and his experience includes a number of high-profile war risks cases. His insurance practice also encompasses subrogated recoveries for insurers. Franco has significant experience in contractual disputes, specifically those relating to the construction and power generation industries. Jurisdictionally, Franco has handled matters in Central and South America and across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and most of Europe. Franco has recently co-authored industry papers on hydrogen and floating offshore wind and he has been involved in a number of London market wordings committees.
