Daniele Calisti

Biography

Daniele Calisti heads the European Commission’s Unit responsible for mergers in the basic industry, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. In this capacity he led many high profile investigations into EU and global acquisitions. Prior to mergers he worked on policy initiatives at the Directorate General for Competition, including the Directive on antitrust damages actions. A graduate of LUISS University, Rome, Dr Calisti holds a PhD from University of Rome La Sapienza, and an LLM from King’s college London.
