Biography

Maria is a resourceful and enthusiastic professional with extensive international experience in marketing and business development. For the past 17 years, she has specialized in the legal sector, offering legal teams, law firms, and individuals innovative ideas, practical guidance, and hands-on support to help them become trusted advisors, grow their businesses, and strengthen business relationships. She currently serves as International Development Executive at the international law firm Osborne Clarke (2023–present), where she works closely with teams in Spain, Miami/US, and the central team in UK. In this role, Maria supports the firm in business development, marketing initiatives, public relations, and also in specific projects. Previously, Maria was part of Samaniego Law (2017–2023), an ALSP highly specialized in IT law and dispute resolution. From 2008 to 2016, she served as MBD Manager at the Madrid office of Bird & Bird, a leading international law firm. Before entering the legal field, Maria held roles in Executive Search, Real Estate and Hospitality, and also worked at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Maria holds a degree International Relations (cum laude) from St. Petersburg State University, Russia (2001), with a specialization in U.S. studies. In the recent years she has pursued advanced professional training in digital marketing. She has authored several articles on her areas of expertise and teaches marketing and business development at IE Law School. A native Russian speaker, Maria is fluent in English and Spanish and has a good command of French. Passionate about family, nature, travel, cinema, arts, and reading, she is also actively involved in various volunteer projects.
