Biography

Sarah Garvey is a partner at Mayer Brown in London. Clients turn to Sarah as an experienced commercial litigator, for advice on complex commercial and banking disputes before the English High Court and in arbitration proceedings. She has a proven track record acting for clients in ‘high stakes’ litigation usually with a cross border element including in shareholder disputes, M&A disputes, financial disputes, contractual disputes, enforcement actions and jurisdictional disputes. Sarah is proficient in private international law, sovereign immunity and jurisdictional issues. She acts for financial institutions, sovereigns, central banks, development banks, corporates and funds. Sarah regularly works with transaction colleagues on deals, advising on immunity issues, jurisdiction/arbitration clauses, legal opinions and other litigation risk issues.
