Niels Bang

Biography

Professional profile Niels Bang is a partner in our Corporate/M&A practice group and our sector groups for Life Sciences/Healthcare and Financial Services. As his clients' primary external adviser, Niels provides strategic and legal advice within company law, foundation law, M&A transactions, venture capital financing, shareholders' agreements and incentive schemes. Niels has been appointed Nordic Lawyer of the Year within Life Sciences. With his focus on the Healthcare/Life Sciences sector and financial service companies respectively, he is recognized for his extensive industry knowledge and experience with transactions in these sectors, as well as for providing practical, business-oriented legal advice. Niels has considerable experience as a board member and active sparring partner on questions of organization and business. Niels devotes a large part of his time to advising executives and board members and VC/PE funds on both commercial and legal matters. He is regarded as an expert in shareholders' agreements, complex corporate structures and transactions, including share classes/waterfall models, the "hub and spoke" model, ESOP structures and spin-outs, as well as the acquisition and sale of regulated companies. Niels is Denmark's representative on the Company Law Committee of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) and a member of the board of the Danish Association for Company Law.
