Eva Singer
Biography
Eva Singer has a law degree from the University of Copenhagen and has worked with human rights and asylum law for more than 30 years. Eva started her career with the UN Centre for Human Rights and moved on to UNHCR, the Danish Immigration Service and for the past 15 years, she has been Director of the Asylum & Refugee Rights Division of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in Copenhagen. The DRC provides legal aid and return counselling to asylum seekers, refugees, migrants, and others, e.g., volunteers or caseworkers working with asylum and repatriation in Denmark. DRC works to improve access to rights for asylum seekers and refugees both in Denmark and EU and the activities include comments on legislative proposals, policy recommendations, opinion pieces, and statements, often in collaboration with other civil society organisations
