Lillian Ajuria

Biography

Lillian Ajuria is a Senior Partner at Ajuria Lawyers, recognised by Best Lawyers as a Best Law Firm in Australia for 2026. The firm specialises in Australian and New Zealand immigration law, advising multinational companies, global businesses and their employees on complex corporate immigration and global mobility matters, often in collaboration with leading co-counsel firms around the world. Lillian is admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. She has been an Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law with the Law Society of NSW since 2002 and a Notary Public since 2004. Her practice focuses on strategic immigration advice for employers, including skilled migration, sponsorship, compliance, workforce mobility and complex immigration issues affecting international businesses operating in Australia and New Zealand. She has been recognised annually in The Best Lawyers in Australia since 2009 and is also recognised in Doyle’s Guide and Lexology. Most recently, she was ranked the No. 1 lawyer in Australia for Immigration Law by Lexology for 2027. Over the course of her career, Lillian has served as NSW Vice-President of the Migration Institute of Australia, as a board member of the Immigration Advice and Rights Centre, and as a member of the Law Society of NSW Immigration Law Committee and its Specialist Accreditation examination board. Fluent in Spanish, Lillian co-founded the Official Australian-Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry and served as its National President. In 2017, she was awarded the Royal Order of Civil Merit by His Majesty the King of Spain in recognition of her contribution to Australia-Spain relations.
