Biography

I am an attorney at law, having dual expertise in finance and tax practices. I provide advice on the structuring and operation of domestic and foreign investment funds, inbound and outbound securities transactions, and alternative investments. I have fluent experience in public offerings, private placements, and secondary sales of interests in investment funds and other kinds of financial products to Japanese institutional or individual investors. I also provides advice on various tax issues, primarily related to investment funds, securities transactions, and other cross-border transactions. I have involved in both tax plannings and tax disputes, including those related to corporate and individual income taxes, value added tax, and inheritance and gift taxes, as well as estate plannings for individual business owners.
