Biography

Linda Nielsen is professor of Global Governance at the University of Copenhagen and is an expert in financial regulation, where she published a book (in Danish) in 2019 and sustainability law where she published a book in 2023. She has also been chair of a task force set down by Finance Denmark regarding AML. In the period 2002-2006 she was Rector (Vice-chancellor) at the University of Copenhagen and president of the Rector's Conference. She was active in creating the IARU alliance between world-leading Universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, Berkeley etc. She has chaired/been member of a great number of law reform commissions, think tanks and councils nationally and internationally, including EU, OECD, Unesco etc. She is currently working on simplification of regulations - "simpler but still strong".
