Biography

Dr. Marcus Schenck joined Lazard in 2022 to head its Financial Advisory business in the DACH region. He is a Member of the Management Committee for Financial Advisory. Marcus started his professional career as a Management Consultant at McKinsey before working at Goldman Sachs in Investment Banking for over a decade where he ran Investment Banking Services for EMEA as a Partner. He served as CFO on the Management Board of E.ON SE before joining Deutsche Bank AG as its CFO and later as Deputy CEO leading the Corporate and Investment Bank. Prior to joining Lazard, he worked for three years as a Partner with Perella Weinberg Partners. During his career Marcus worked on numerous transactions as an Advisor but also as a Principal. He gathered experience in M&A as well as Equity and Debt advisory. He has special sector knowledge in the Automotive, Energy and Banking industries. Marcus studied Economics at the University of Bonn and the University of California, Berkeley and has a Ph.D. from the University of Cologne.
