Lucy Reed
Biography
Lucy Reed is an independent arbitrator with Arbitration Chambers (New York), currently serving as President of the SIAC Court and President of ICCA. She retired from Freshfields in 2016, where she led the international arbitration group, and then was Professor and Director of the Centre for International Law of the National University of Singapore. Lucy served as a member of the Eritrea-Ethiopia Claims Commission and a co-director of the Claims Resolution Tribunal for Dormant Swiss Bank Accounts. While with the US State Department, she was the US Agent to the Iran-US Claims Tribunal. She is a former President of the American Society of International Law, Chair of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration, and a Vice President of the ICC Court. She was educated at the University of Chicago Law School and Brown University.
