Nora Jox Fredstie
Biography
Nora Fredstie is an International Arbitration Partner at DAC Beachcroft in London. She acts as both counsel and arbitrator in complex, high-stakes international disputes, with a practice spanning investment arbitration, international commercial arbitration, and public international law. Nora has a strong track record across diverse industries, including oil and gas, construction, life sciences, renewable energy, commodities, automotive, and financial services. She represents clients in arbitrations seated across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, under major institutional and ad hoc rules including ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCC, SIAC, CRCICA, and UNCITRAL. In addition to her counsel work, Nora serves as arbitrator and was appointed by the Government of Norway to the ICSID Panel of Conciliators. She is a delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, the Chair of ICC Norway’s Arbitration Commission, and a member of its Nominating Committee. She also sits on the Advisory Board of the Norwegian Arbitration Association, reflecting her deep engagement with the international arbitration community. Nora is frequently invited to speak at international conferences and lecture on dispute resolution at leading European universities including her six years as adjunct professor at the University of Nanterre. She has been ranked by Who’s Who Legal since 2020. For 2025, Nora was ranked Tier 1 by Lexology (formerly WWL) as part of the Global Elite Thought Leaders List for international arbitration.
