Biography

Ajra Azhar is the Managing Partner of Colombo Associates Legal, a full-service law firm in Sri Lanka specializing in corporate, commercial, litigation, arbitration, and cross-border matters. Ajra has represented Sri Lanka at the IBA as National Representative and panelist, contributing to global discussions on artificial intelligence, legal innovation, and youth leadership. With extensive experience in corporate advisory, human rights, NGO/INGO compliance, and international business transactions, she leads her firm in delivering strategic, client-focused solutions and managing high-value cross-border deals. In addition to her legal practice, she is the Founder of the First Generation Lawyer (FGL) Foundation, an initiative dedicated to empowering aspiring lawyers and professionals. Widely recognized for her strategic vision, multidisciplinary expertise, and commitment to social justice, Ajra stands as one of the prominent emerging voices in Sri Lanka’s legal and business community.
