Biography

Shiv Chopra is a litigation lawyer practising before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court and courts across multiple jurisdictions. A graduate of Symbiosis Law School, Pune (Class of 2012), his practice spans criminal trials, white-collar defence, economic offences, and high-stakes civil and commercial disputes. He has acted as lead counsel in more than 50 reported judgments and has also assisted the Delhi High Court as Amicus Curiae. Shiv is empanelled with the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee and previously served as Legal Advisor to the Delhi Police. His work includes major matters under the NDPS Act, PMLA, PC Act, commercial and property litigation, arbitration, consumer disputes, and regulatory proceedings. He regularly appears before specialised tribunals and conducts trials and appeals in corruption and economic offence cases. He has authored articles on criminal law published in legal journals and has been invited as a guest lecturer at O.P. Jindal Global University. Shiv is the founder of the Chambers of Shiv Chopra in New Delhi.
