Biography

Walter is an experienced healthcare investor with a background in strategy consulting and academic research. In 2017, he co-founded Hadean Ventures, an Oslo-headquartered life sciences venture capital firm that currently manages three funds with total assets under management of approximately €250 million. Prior to this, Walter was based in the London office of one of the largest specialist healthcare venture capital firms, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, and exit management, gaining extensive experience through successful investments and exits across the portfolio. Walter began his industry career at the Boston Consulting Group as part of the Healthcare Practice, advising pharmaceutical companies and private equity firms on commercial strategy as well as buy- and sell-side M&A transactions. Walter holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Vienna. Following his studies, he spent five years as a research fellow at Harvard University. He has authored 15 peer-reviewed publications in leading scientific journals, including Cell and EMBO.
