Biography
Rongping (Larry) Wu is the Managing Partner of DGW Kramer LLP and a U.S.-based attorney focusing on cross-border litigation, international asset recovery, with a particular emphasis on matters involving China-related disputes and enforcement. He has over 20 years of experience representing institutional creditors and private enterprises in complex, multi-jurisdictional proceedings. Mr. Wu regularly advises clients on the recognition and enforcement of PRC court judgments and PRC-seated arbitral awards in the United States and other common law jurisdictions. He has led over 40 China-related asset recovery matters involving coordinated enforcement, asset tracing, and interim relief across the U.S., Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and offshore jurisdictions such as the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands. A significant aspect of Mr. Wu’s practice involves the strategic use of U.S. discovery tools in aid of foreign proceedings, including applications under 28 U.S.C. § 1782 to obtain evidence relevant to China-related litigation and enforcement. He also has substantial experience in cross-border insolvency and Chapter 15 proceedings, representing foreign liquidators and creditors seeking recovery of assets connected to Chinese debtors. Mr. Wu is admitted in New York, Texas, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and multiple U.S. federal courts.
