Biography

Hon. Justice Olasumbo Goodluck is an alumni of the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria, where she graduated with a BL (hons) in 1979. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in July 1980. Since her post call, she has been in active legal private practice particularly in advocacy. In 1990 She joined her colleagues to set up a partnership, Carew, Elemide & Goodluck, a Law Firm in Lagos. In December, 2003, she was elevated to the Higher Bench of the High Court of the FCT, there she was appointed as the pioneer ADR Judge of the Abuja Multi Door Court House, a position her Lordship held until July 2022 when she was sworn in as a Justice of the Court of Appeal. Her Lordship is a Certified Mediator, member NCMG, Member, CIArb and Fellows, ICMG. Her Lordship has over the years, been engaged in the resolution of disputes as a mediator and delivered several judgments on arbitral awards. Her Lordship has presented several papers at workshops locally and internationally. She is a consummate ADR and conflict resolution proponent.
