Biography

Jessica Ortiz represents companies and individuals in high stakes civil litigation and white collar criminal and regulatory investigations and enforcement actions at the federal and state level. She also conducts corporate internal investigations in the US and abroad and advises on crisis and risk management. She served for over eight years as Assistant United States Attorney and Chief of the Narcotics Unit in the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. While there, Ms. Ortiz led 15 jury trials to conviction as lead counsel. She also briefed eight and argued three appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Prior to her service there, she practiced securities litigation at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP.
