Biography

Ms. Zhang has been practicing Chinese law for over 26 years, specializing in cross-border and domestic M&A and PE deals involving a broad of sectors, such as advanced manufacturing, mining, TMT, real property, etc. She also has extensive experience in joint venture projects, restructuring transactions, and general corporate matters. Described by some clients as a very smart, business-oriented thinker”, she provides clients with responsive service and develops creative and pragmatic solutions to their most important matters. Ms. Zhang was seconded to work with the legal department of Itochu Corporation in Tokyo, Japan (2004), and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York City (2011). Before joining JunHe, Ms. Zhang worked with the legal department of a national financial institution in China. Ms. Zhang is in charge of corporate and M&A Practice Group I of the firm, and also a member of "Conflict Interest Risk Management Committee" and "Senior Associate Career Development Committee" of the firm. She has been ranked on Chambers Greater China Region and Chambers Global (corporate & M&A), and recognized by China Business Law Journal as one of China's elite lawyers - a member of the “Exclusive A-List of China's Legal Profession ” since 2021 and “Best 15 Chinese Lawyers in TMT (2023)”. She is also recognized as one of the "Best Lawyers Recommended by General Counsels" ranked by LEGAL GURU CLUB, and the “Lawyers with Expertise in Foreign-Eelated Legal Services Recommended by Beijing Bar Association”.
