Biography

IAIN SANDFORD helps commercial stakeholders and States develop and deploy winning strategies for resolving international disputes. Iain has particular depth of experience in international economic disputes, and is familiar with a wide range of techniques and forums for addressing international problems. Recent high-profile successes include, in 2021, leading a Sidley team to achieve an important win for Brazil's sugar industry before a WTO panel considering Indian agricultural support, and, in 2020, winning a landmark dispute against Saudi Arabia concerning the notorious broadcast pirate "beoutQ".
