Biography

Renata B. Hesse is a partner in the Washington, DC office of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Prior to joining Sullivan & Cromwell, Ms. Hesse served as the Acting Assistant Attorney General responsible for overseeing the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice from April 2016 to January 2017. Ms. Hesse served as the Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Criminal and Civil Operations, and Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General, between 2012 and 2016. She was a career trial attorney in the Division between 1997 and 2006, during the last four years of which she served as the Chief of the Networks and Technology Section.
