Claudia Parzani
Biography
Claudia is one of Italy’s most influential activists of the decade when it comes to women’s leadership and, since 2007, has been a partner of the global law firm Linklaters. Since June 2018 she is the Global Business Development & Marketing Partner of the firm. From November 2016 to April 2021, she was, at regional level within Linklaters, Managing Partner for Western Europe. She is the founder of Breakfast@Linklaters – a network of more than 2000 professional women who are passionate about diversity issues. The network enables hundreds of Italian businesswomen to connect at a series of conferences. Her efforts to inspire and motivate have allowed for both personal and professional growth of many of the participants. Claudia was member of the Board of Valore D Association – the first association of large Italian companies supporting women’s leadership in the corporate world and for 3 years she was the President of such association. She led for Linklaters the association’s project, In the Boardroom, which trained about 300 women in the role of member of the Board Directors. In 2016, Claudia took part to “The CEO School”, the initiative promoted by Valore D and GE Capital launched in cooperation with Linklaters, the Italian Stock Exchange and Egon Zehnder to enable a greater number of women to hold positions on executive boards. In 2017, Claudia contributed, together with Valore D, to the launching in Italy of the Inspiring Girls campaign, an innovative mentoring program connecting female role models and young girls around the world. In the last four years she has been included in the Women Role Model list published by HERoes and Yahoo Finance (a similar recognition has been received in 2018 and 2017 according to the Financial Times and HERoes campaign). In the last three years the global directory IFLR1000 has recognized Claudia as one of the Women Leaders and in 2017 Claudia was the recipient of the "Equal Opportunities Award" granted by the related Committee of the Milan Bar Association. Besides her commitment on gender diversity, Claudia has worked to support other minorities and contributes to the activities of different associations. In particular, she is the Chair of the Strategic Board of the Foundation Italia per il dono onlus – F.I.Do, the non-profit organization promoted by, among others, Allianz Bank, UniCredit, Borsa Italiana and Generali and is a member of the Advisory Board of UNHCR Italia, the UN Refugee Agency. Claudia has been invited to sit, since its foundation in 2010, in the Scientific Committee of Parks – Liberi e Uguali, a non-profit making organization, whose members are exclusively employers, created with the aim of helping companies to understand and attain maximum business opportunities deriving LGBT diversity management. In November 2020 Claudia published the book “Meravigliose. Tour guidato all'interno di noi stesse”, written with Francesca Isola, dedicated to gender issues, young women and talents.
