Anne-Sophie Nardon
Biography
Anne-Sophie Nardon is the co-founder of Borghese Associés, a law firm specializing in art law. With over 30 years of experience, she is recognized for her expertise in advising international auction houses, artists' estates, and galleries on issues like ownership disputes, provenance, and art sale contracts. A registered mediator with the National Centre for Lawyers’ Mediation (CNMA), Anne-Sophie is known for her strategic problem-solving and deep knowledge of the art market. Notable Achievements Anne-Sophie has secured the restitution of stolen artworks worth millions and contributed to high-profile agreements, including cultural patronage collaborations. She played a pivotal role in the EU report on combating illicit trafficking of cultural property and helps clients navigate intellectual property law and the Parisian art market. Education and Credentials Anne-Sophie holds advanced law degrees from Paris II Panthéon-Assas and Paris X Nanterre. She is admitted to practice in French and European jurisdictions and is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Art Lawyers Association, the Responsible Art Market Initiative and the American Bar Association. Personal Commitments Anne-Sophie founded Borghese Artistes, a platform offering free legal resources to artists and collectors.
