Amir has practiced commercial law in New Delhi since 1992 when he returned to India after reading law at Oxford acting as Counsel & Managing Partner to the law firm that he co-founded. He has represented several governments such as France, Canada, Singapore and Greece as their legal counsel or as legal counsel to the Ambassador/High Commissioner in India and has been Honorary Legal Advisor to the British High Commissioner since 2018. He has also been advisor to the delegation of the European Union in India. His practice has centred around commercial law and commercial arbitration, dispute resolution, competition law, labour & industrial law, public procurement, real estate, product liability and aviation. He has been outside general counsel in India to three international airlines and a major Indian company. Recognised by Legal500, Chambers Asia since 2009, Who's Who Legal since 2005, Asialaw and several other publications, his work in multiple practice areas has been noticed - these include dispute resolution, aviation, employment, real estate etc
