Biography

Admitted to the Dutch Bar in 1991. Managing Partner of the Amsterdam based law firm Florent. Committee Liaison Officer to the IBA’s Asset Recovery Committee. Head of Florent’s Restructuring & Insolvency practice group and founding partner of the firm. Also a specialist in the field of International Asset Tracing & Recovery. He has been involved as bankruptcy trustee or advisor in several high-profile and complex insolvencies and restructurings. He has extensive experience with Dutch WHOA schemes (both as counsel to the company/debtor and as court-appointed officer). Next to this he is the (former) co-chair of the asset recovery chamber of the Institute for Financial Crime (IFFC) in the Netherlands.
