Biography

Jan co-heads the Private Equity practice of Gleiss Lutz. He specialises in international M&A with a focus on advising private equity investors. Jan is referred to as a 'leading individual' for M&A and Private Equity in all major legal directories such as Chambers, JUVE, IFLR 1000, The International Who’s Who of M&A Lawyers, Best Lawyers and PLC Cross-Border Handbook M&A. Jan’s clients include Allianz Capital Partners, Avista Capital Partners, Blackstone, DBAG, Egeria, Eurazeo, Francisco Partners, GHO Capital, Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, KKR, One Equity Partners, Ripplewood, Soros and TSG Consumer Partners. Recent deals led by him include the Chinese Outbound Deal of the Year (China Business Law Journal 2013 for KKR and Goldman Sachs), the Restructuring Deal of the Year (IFRL Europe 2015 for Eurazeo) and the Bond Deal of the Year (Green Bond Awards 2016 for Blackstone).
