Jodie Anderson
Biography
Jodie is a barrister (third six) at 1MCB having previously completed pupillage at Garden Court Chambers. Her focus is on criminal defence and asylum, with particular emphasis on youth justice and representing vulnerable defendants, including female asylum seekers fleeing domestic violence and honour violence as well as those claiming humanitarian protection. Before joining the Bar, Jodie worked with Reprieve, Amicus and the Texas Defender Service in the United States, assisting in the defence and representation of vulnerable and indigent people facing the death penalty in the US and Southeast Asia. Jodie has been heavily involved with the charity Refugees at Home, finding housing for destitute asylum seekers and refugees in the UK.
