Biography

John Hamlin is Chief Counsel, Employment, Benefits and Governance at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc., one of the world’s leading professional services firms with $14 billion in revenue and 65,000 employees in over 85 countries. MMC operating companies include Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter, and Oliver Wyman. He is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He has been recognized as one of The Legal 500’s GC Powerlist “U.S. Corporate Counsel 100: Rising Stars.” He was selected by the International Law Office and the Association of Corporate Counsel as the recipient of the 2015 ILO Global Counsel Award for Employment Counsel of the Year.
