Biography

Astrid Helstone is a Partner of Stibbe and co-heads the Employment, Pensions & Incentives Group. She obtained two master degrees from the University of Amsterdam in both (i) Civil Law and (ii) French language & literature and has previously worked as a foreign associate in 2007 at a UK law firm in London. A specialist in employment law, Astrid advises and litigates in individual and collective labor law matters, including executive dismissal and disputes with Dutch and European works councils. She is a recognized specialist in complex remuneration issues and employee incentives and holds distinctive expertise in the field of financial regulatory requirements. Astrid regularly lectures and publishes in professional journals on different employment law issues. Furthermore, Astrid is founder of and lecturer at the Leergang Arbeid, Onderneming & Medezeggenschap, which is a certified post academic course for experienced lawyers at University of Amsterdam.
