Russell Brimelow
Biography
Russell has been an employment partner at Lewis Silkin for 14 years and is Founder and Head of Lewis Silkin’s Oxford office. Lewis Silkin is the UK’s leading specialist employment law practice with 25 partners and over 100 lawyers. He was a partner at Boodle Hatfield for 7 years prior to joining Lewis Silkin. Russell is a nationally well-known UK employment lawyer with huge experience. He advises substantial, often international, employers on employment law, acting for a number of household name clients in a variety of sectors, predominately in media, IT, telecommunications and technology. He has particular expertise in sensitive Board level issues, senior terminations, restructuring, TUPE transfers and employment litigation. He manages teams of lawyers for over 50 clients. Internationally, he has pioneered a number of global employment projects for many multinationals, and has run many cross border projects for a wide variety of clients, including the establishment and operation of an international media company’s global employment helpdesk which, for a fixed annual fee, provides them with unlimited employment advice in all of its 32 jurisdictions around the world. Russell is passionate about providing quality and responsive advice to his clients in a commercial manner, and has been at the forefront in developing Lewis Silkin’s innovative services for clients including Lewis Silkin’s Rockhopper, Worksphere and LewisSilkinhouse. Russell also speaks and writes extensively on employment topics at conferences and in relevant journals and social media.
