Biography

Irina von Wiese is the Antitrust Director at the GSM Association. At an industry body comprising more than 800 of the world's mobile operators, Irina is responsible for providing antitrust support to the Association's Board committees and other industry events. She also leads the organisation's overall compliance function, including anti-corruption, corporate governance and trade sanctions. She has extensive work experience as a competition lawyer both in private practice (incl. Allen & Overy LLP) and in the ICT Sector (including BT Global Services), specialising in EU competition law. Irina qualified as German lawyer and UK solicitor (England & Wales), and holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.
