Biography

Katsumasa Suzuki is a partner at top-tier, Tokyo-based international law firm, Mori Hamada & Matsumoto. He has attained the topmost reputation in Japan as a practitioner in both capital markets and M&A areas. He has been selected as a leading lawyer in capital markets in Japan by major publications including Chambers and Best Lawyers, and ranked as a top-ten outstanding Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyer by the Financial Times in 2016 — the first-ever among lawyers qualified in Japan. Graduating from Keio University (LL.B., 1998) and Columbia Law School (LL.M., 2004), Mr. Suzuki is admitted to practice in Japan (2000) and New York (2005), and qualified as a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (2006).
