Biography

Ameya Khandge is a partner in Trilegal’s corporate practice, and part of the Banking and Finance group. He has a wide range of experience of secured and unsecured, domestic and cross-border banking transactions. He has acted for both banks and borrowers on syndicated lending, corporate financing, public bid finance, project finance, acquisition finance and leveraged finance. As part of the Restructuring group, he has represented lenders and investors at all levels of the capital structure and advised on various issues including corporate reorganisation/restructuring, debt restructuring, distressed debt trading, investment in distressed debt, refinancing and exit strategy. Ameya’s work covers a variety of industries including, energy, infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing, real estate and retail among others. Ameya’s key clients include multinational banks/agencies such as OPIC, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank and Bank of America and domestic banks such as State Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI, and IDBI. Ameya is Vice Chair of the Financial Institutions & Insolvency Subcommittee, International Bar Association.
