Biography

Marc is an associate in Fox Williams’ Corporate and Technology team focussing on FinTech and Alternative Finance, with a particular specialism in blockchain, cryptocurrency and other innovative technologies with a financial application. With a unique corporate, commercial and offshore finance background, Marc advises clients across the FinTech spectrum on a wide range of legal issues spanning corporate, commercial and regulatory topics. With a strong background and interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency, from a strategic perspective down to lines of code, he is well-placed to understand and provide practical commercial advice on the legal requirements and issues faced by businesses in this space, from startup to fundraising (whether through ICO or traditional financing) and beyond. A regular speaker at events in the UK and internationally, Marc is able to explain key concepts and issues in respect of blockchain and cryptocurrency to both general and specialist audiences and explore the practical elements relevant to a particular audience. Marc graduated with a BA in Law with Politics at the University of Manchester in 2006. He qualified at Clyde & Co in 2012 and has previously worked in the Shoosmiths’ Corporate team and the Financial Services Law team at Bedell Cristin in Guernsey. Marc joined Fox Williams in April 2018.
