Biography

Yamila Eraso Peña is a lawyer at LACORE Rechtsanwälte LLP, a Berlin-based corporate law firm with a strong focus on startup/venture capital. She specializes her practice on M&A transactions, venture capital and blockchain technology. She especially advises entrepreneurs, early-stage companies and investors on matters related to formation and funding of companies as well as cross-border business, in particular involving the U.S. and Latin America. Before joining LACORE, Yamila worked as a lawyer for prominent law firms in Colombia and the United States, as well as in-house legal counsel for a German crowd-lending startup in Berlin. Yamila is also a regular lecturer in the entrepreneurship track of the Master of Law and Business at Bucerius Law School. Yamila received her first law degree (with honors) from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, she holds a postgraduate diploma in tax law from the same University, an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and a Master of Law and Business from Bucerius Law School. Yamila is admitted as a lawyer in the State of New York and the Republic of Colombia.
