Anne-Marie Nicolas
Biography
Anne-Marie Nicolas, attorney at law, is a partner in the Banking and Finance practice group. She specialises in banking and finance law and acts for banks, financial institutions, corporates and investors in various types of cross-border finance transactions, including acquisition financing, asset financings, structured finance and debt (re)structuring. She also advises on regulatory, insolvency and corporate governance matters. Before joining Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg, Anne-Marie worked, among others, at the Luxembourg office of a major global law firm for ten years and headed the EMEA and India corporate and finance legal practice of an S&P 500 industrial group listed on the NY stock exchange. Anne-Marie holds masters in French and German Law from the university of Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne and the Universität zu Köln and an LL.M. in American law from Boston University. She speaks fluent French, German and English. Anne-Marie is a member of the Luxembourg directors association (ILA), the Luxembourg Bankers' Association (ABBL) and the Luxembourg association of bank lawyers (ALJB) and is an active member of several working groups related to the financial services industry. She has published a number of articles on finance and corporate governance related issues. Anne-Marie is admitted to the Luxembourg bar and to the New-York bar.
