Karl Peer Gunther

Biography

Karl Peer was born in Hamburg in 1972. In the nineties he studied law in Heidelberg, with long-term stays in Tampa (USA), Madrid, Montpellier and Sydney. After his doctoral thesis he worked several years for a law firm in Munich with a focus on competition law. In 2005 he joined the legal department of Munich Re specializing in regulatory law and M&A transactions. Since 2014 he heads the legal department of the Swiss Life insurance branch in Germany. Today, Karl Peer lives in Munich with his wife and three children. Whenever there is a rare chance for it he enjoys travelling to Scotland for a few rounds of golf.
