Phillip Schmidt

Biography

Phillip is a legal counsel at Zimmer Biomet’s EMEA headquarters in Switzerland, a leading manufacturer of orthopaedic implants. In his role he is responsible for all legal matters in Switzerland, Israel and Eastern Europe including Russia, including distributor and sales agent relationships as well as for all product liability litigation in EMEA. He holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School and Masters in Law and Economics and International Management from the University of St. Gallen. A lawyer admitted to the New York and the Swiss bars, Phillip started and pursued his career as an IP and corporate lawyer specialized in life sciences at a major Swiss law firm before moving in house in 2016.
