Biography

Dr. Zhang has 20 years of experience in life sciences including venture capital, BD and R&D. He is currently advising investors and companies in the US and China. Previously he was at Safeguard Scientifics, an NYSE listed investment firm, he was a key member of the life sciences team that was responsible for multiple exits valued over $2B. He has also held positions including CEO of an early stage biotech, head of BD at a genetics company, and a scientist at large pharma and small biotech. He received his BS from Nanjing University, PhD from Boston University, and an MBA from Wharton. He is also a Kauffman Fellow, a global organization with 500 investors and innovators.
