Biography

The Honourable Barry Leon, FCIArb, Arbitrator and Mediator, Arbitration Place. Barry was Presiding Judge, BVI Commercial Court, 2015-2018, Partner and International Arbitration Head, Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall, 2009-2015, before 2009, Partner and Practice Coordinator, Torys. He was Chair, ICC Canada, Canadian Bar Association’s ICSID Working Group, Co-Chair, IBA Arbitration Conference (Toronto), and Member, IBA Investor-State Mediation Rules Sub-Committee, ILA International Commercial Arbitration Committee, CPR Diversity Task Force, Program Committee, RMMLF’s “International Energy and Minerals Arbitration” Conference, CEDR’s Settlement in International Arbitration Commission. Barry is CPR’s 2013 “Award for Outstanding Contribution to Diversity in ADR” recipient and an IMI Certified Mediator.
