Biography

Kazumitsu (Kaz) Goto represents both Japanese and international clients in cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital markets transactions and other variety of legal matters. Native Japanese and fluent in English, Kaz handles a range of public and private M&A matters for both strategic and private equity clients, cross-border joint ventures, and global capital markets transactions, including advice on financial regulations. Kaz is particularly familiar with the legal issues affecting the pharmaceutical industry. Kaz is also deeply familiar with the recent trends and legal concerns related to the technology sector, including artificial intelligence, IoT, location-based marketing, encryption and big data related technologies.
