Biography

Hans is the resident partner in our London office, practicing Dutch law only. Hans is part of the Stibbe M&A group and specialises in Dutch corporate law, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance transactions, acting for private equity funds, multinationals and financial institutions. Practicing at Stibbe Amsterdam since 1994, Hans was seconded to Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, New York (2000-2001) and practiced in our New York office, before heading up the London office since 2007. Hans is Chair of the Private Equity subcommittee of the Corporate and M&A Law Committee of the International Bar Association. Hans is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Business Law International. He is a member of the Netherlands Bar Association, the American Bar Association and a Registered European Lawyer registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority of England and Wales.
